RUBY TV is heading to the 65th Festival de Cannes form 16th – 27th May to cover the Australian contingents and the international buzz.
Reporter Ruby Boukabou and director Elise Mc Leod will produce videos for Ruby TV and also a series of video reports in partnership with Screen Australia to be featured on their red carpet page.
A report celebrating the anniversary of Cannes with interviews with respected industry members and incorporating archival footage from Gaumond Pathé will be produced for SBS online.
Ruby will also write a blog with photos and the team will produce video for ABC Arts Gateway.
While Ruby and Elise hit the Croisette running, Dylan Behan will be editing from Sydney.
During the festival the team will cover Wayne Blair’s The Sapphires (Official Selection), Michael Spiccia’s Yardbird (Australia’s short film in competition) and be interviewing Ronan Keating (for his role in Goddess which has a market launch in Cannes), Cinema Nova’s Natalie Miller, and many other industry talent.
For coverage of the films in competition, Ruby TV will partner with Screen Comment to share content. We will post reviews and interviews by Ali Naderzad, editor of the U.S. based entertainment publication catering to both film lovers and professionals.
