Have press pass, will interview… Happy to see the same staff in the press office who are great and once my pass is picked up, after my first race down the Croisette from the Palm Beach apartment, I’m ready for my first film. It’s the opening film red carpet at the same time as in competition film Tournée so while I go in with a french journalist who has tracked me down to interview (more later) David stays out and gets some opening vibe shots of crowds and photographers and limos and Cate and Russel on the big screen. Indiewire has nice reports for Day 1 and Variety talks Robin Hood. Relatively early night (midnight) as will be getting up for sunrise over Cannes shot. Then Tournée press conference, registering at Sceen Australia and filming short interviews at the Australian drinks for the first story for SBS. A demain!
