The 37th Cairo International Film Festival presented last night a tribute ceremony, film and dinner for Egyptian cinema legend Omar Sharif0 (April 1932 – 10 July 2015).  The ceremony, held at the Cairo Opera House was studded with Egyptian cinema stars, directors and industry members who had strong working and personal relations with Sharif, including the one and only Claudia Cardinale, Egyptian actress Yousra and actors Samir Sabri and Khaled Nabawy. The ceremony was followed by a screening of French director François Duperyon’s 2003 feature ‘Monsieur Ibrahim et les Fleurs du Coran’ and a dinner hosted by Sharif’s son Tarek Sharif in his Italian restaurant La Trattoria.
